My books are opened month by month, but usually book up at least 6 weeks in advance. If you need cookies within two weeks from your inquiry, I charge a $10 rush fee per dozen.
I take a 20% retainer to hold the date. Until that retainer is received, the date is not reserved. Unfortunately if I am waiting to hear back from you and another customer inquires and pays their retainer and we don’t have additional availability that week, we won’t be add on additional orders. I take between 8-10 dozen cookies/3-5 orders per week and those can book up very quickly, so if you know you want to book, please let us know quickly!
That is okay! I try to not repeat sets in their entirely once I have created them to give everyone a unique custom set. I will use the inspo photos you send and any other details you provide to create a customer set made just for you.
If stored correctly, the cookies will stay fresh for at least 10 days, but freshest for 3-5 days. You can also freeze them for up to 3 months.
To Freeze: Place in an airtight container with parchment paper between each layer before putting into the freezer.
To Defrost: Take the container out of the freezer and leave on your counter until defrosted. Once fully defrosted, open the container and consume as normal! (THIS STEP IS SUPER IMPORTANT!)
Yes! I have hundreds of cutters to create each theme! If I do not have a specific cutter, I can do designs on basic shaped cutters as well. If a custom cutter needs to be ordered, additional charges may incur.
I will do my best! I can’t guarantee an exact match, but I will get as close as possible. Colors can skew from phone and computers to real life. For the best color match, if you can get me a swatch or invitation in person, that would be the best.
Unfortunately not. Although I don’t use nuts in our cookies, we do use them in our kitchen. I do use wheat, gluten, dairy, and eggs in our recipe. If you have a dietary restriction that is not allergy related, I can most likely altar our recipe to accommodate you.
These cookies take so much time! And to me, they’re tiny works of art and made with so much love. Decorating a single cookie, averages about 10 minutes for me, so two hours a dozen. And some designs can take 15-20+ minutes each. This also does not include the invoicing and responding to emails, planning and sketching out the designs, cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen, making the dough, making the frosting, coloring and bagging the frosting, or packaging the cookies, so total time for a dozen cookies is around 4-6 hours. Yes, the cookies are expensive, but they are so much more than a just frosted sugar cookie. They are a special piece of art to make your event extra special, so it is a small investment you would have to be willing to make, but I promise it is worth it. ;)
Once you fill out the request form, I will contact you to discuss the details of your event. If you have photo inspiration, a color palette, I would love to see them! You would be surprised how much creativity comes from inspiration photos. After receiving the event details, I will collect the retainer to lock in your event date. I will then sketch the set based on what you shared, so we can finalize the order two weeks prior to your event. Due to the amount of time it takes to sketch and work on current orders, the sketch may come to you prior to two weeks before, but not guaranteed. The final payment will be due upon pickup.
Your retainer holds your place for the week that you book. If you reschedule within 2 weeks, I can transfer your retainer based on my availability. If you need to cancel within the two week period and the date is not available or you do not wish to rebook, the $25 retainer is forfeited. Each order takes time (as mentioned above), and my time is very valuable to me and my family.
